Thrall by Jennifer Quintenz 3.5 out of 5 stars
The night of the homecoming, Braedyn, 15 going on 16, struggles through feeling awkward and mousy next to her two colorful, flamboyant friends Royal and Cassie.
Amber and Derek are the stars of the homecoming until a mysterious, intoxicating girl appears from nowhere and claims Derek for herself.
That night marks the beginning of the end of normality in Braedyn’s life.
When Lucas, a hot new guy moves in next door and accidentally hints at a secret Braedyn’s father, Murphy, was going to tell her, everything takes a turn for the worse.
Braedyn discovers that she and the mysterious girl who claimed Derek have something scary, something dark in common.
Braedyn’s 16th birthday dawns, and she must decide who she is for better or worse.
I received this book Thrall for free in exchange for an honest review, and I have to say that I really enjoyed this read. It was fast paced, full of tension, action, and drama. I couldn’t give the story a full 4 stars because of some small editing errors, and the fact that through the latter half of the book I was really frustrated with some of the selfish decisions Braedyn made.
But other than that, I really enjoyed the read and would read the sequel as well as other stories by this author.
